Optimus Red Sound Level Meter
Sound Level Meters for Noise at Work and Occupational Noise

If you are working to the Noise at Work Regulations or the EU Physical Agents (Noise) Directive, you will need to be measuring Leq and Peak(C) values as well as calculating the LEP,d or LEX,8.

If you will be assessing the noise and then providing hearing protection you will need to measure the 1:1 Octave Bands and possible the C-A values.

If you are working to other standards such as OSHA or AIHce, you will need to measure LAVG and TWA along with % Dose values.

The Optimus Red Sound Level Meters are the ideal instruments for this type of measurement.

Optimus Green Sound Level Meter
Sound Level Meter for Environmental Noise

For environmental noise measurements you may need to measure values such as Leq, Lmax and possible statistical levels such as L10 and L90. You may also need to measure the frequency content of the noise using 1:3 octave bands.

Audio recording of the noise during measurements may also be useful along with the ability to repeat measurements over a longer period of time.
The Optimus Sound Level Meters can be used with an Outdoor Measurement Kit which provides weather protection for the Sound Level Meter and Microphone Capsule as well as powering the Sound Level Meter over an extended period.
